That’s one (depressing) way to look at it. The other way is that the better the UX design is, the less time users are forced to spend learning something they (arguably) have no need to know. That extra time can be spent curing cancer or masturbating to Golden Girls episodes.

Stephanie has been known to wake up at 6AM on a Saturday morning, play disco music on her iPhone, then, in a fit of passion, grab my finger and use it as a microphone as she Saturday Night Fevers all over the bed.
All this without getting out from underneath the covers.
